New Release and Other News!

Hello my lovelies and Happy New Year! I hope this newsletter finds each of you well! As we begin a new year, I find myself reflecting on how my 2024 (and the previous few years) went. As many of you may remember, I got covid in August 2020 at the height of the pandemic. I spent six days in ICU and I fought it for over 50 days. As a result, I ended up with long-covid. The brain fog from it was extremely debilitating to the point where I could barely focus to write. From the end of 2020 to the end of 2023, I barely managed to write 69k words in total. Fast forward to the beginning of 2024. Most of the brain fog lifted, and my muse came back with a vengeance. In 12 months, I wrote 600,092 words in total across 23 completed projects and another 7 started. Those 23 completed projects (novellas and short stories) come to 566,697 words! I won't lie, y'all. I was getting worried I'd end up with burnout because I was a writing fiend! Thankfully, it's slowed down a bit. HOWEVER, all but TWO of the novellas I plan to release in 2025 are written and edited and ready to go! I have a few short stories I have to write for some anthologies (all three are charity anthologies- two to help wounded soldiers and the third to help schools), but I even have a few books for 2026 ready to go LOL I also started a YA pen name, Mina Raines, and her debut book, Savage Pursuit, released on October 8, 2024. I will share about that in a minute! As the subject line says, I have a new release! For some backstory, I wrote Twisted Secret Twisted Fate Series 1 and published it under my former 'dark romance' name, which I have retired, and republished it under Angel Nyx. Twisted Secrets is a PNR MMFMM why choose romance that ends in a cliffhanger. The second book, Twisted Lies Twisted Fate Series 2 picks up where Secrets left off and end in an HFN (Happily For Now), but concludes in May with Twisted Future. Also, starting with Twisted Lies, the Twisted Fate Series is connected to The Devil's Heir, which is the first book in my Hellfire Series! Some of the characters, settings, and scenes from The Devil's Heir make an appearance in books 3-5 of the Twisted Fate Series. About 3 or so years ago, I was at a signing event when a reader issued me a challenge. She wanted to pick up one of my NOLA Shifters books for her teenage daughter who loved reading about shifters. However, those books are 18+ because of the sexy times in them. SO, she challenged me to write a shifter series set in New Orleans but with a teenage cast. Challenge accepted! It took a couple of years to get the book written, but I did it! The Orleans High Shifters series is 8 books, and book 2 is being written now. I have a few other books planned as well. one is a zombie apocalypse book and another is a spin of Neverland.
